MALAVA, KENYA As part of hisMalava MP David Ndakwa Hits the Ground Running with Education Reforms campaign manifesto, Malava Member of Parliament David Athman Ndakwa promised voters that education would be a primary pillar of his agenda. Following his inauguration, the MP has moved swiftly to realize these promises, signaling a new era for the constituencyโs a cademic landscape
Shortly after being sworn in, MP Ndakwa officially opened the bursary application window to support needy students. Furthermore, he has prioritized the Infrastructure Development Fund, distributing a total of Ksh 1.538 million to several institutions. The initial beneficiaries span across the seven wards of Malava and include: St. Gerald Shivikhwa Primary,Friends School Shitirira Primary,Tande Primary,Mavusi Primary
During a consultative meeting with secondary school principals and Board of Management (BOM) chairpersons, the MP issued a stern warning regarding the management of public resources. He assured his constituents that every shilling would be accounted for, stating that no funds would be embezzled.
“The law will take its course without exception should any funds be diverted from their intended purpose,” the MP remarked.
For many in Malava, Ndakwaโs focus on literacy is no surprise. His journey began long before he gained popularity in the political limelight. Residents remember him as a dedicated educational advocate who sold “High Flyer” revision books and frequently visited schools to conduct mentorship talks with students.
