Malava Muslim Community Unites Behind Kenya’s 2027 Development Agenda with KSh 6.8 Million Raised

In a display of strategic unity, Kenya’s Muslim community in Malava has raised a collective contribution of KSh 6.8 million towards the establishment of a commubity resource center.

David Ndakwa, the sitting Member of Parliament for Malava, emphasized a leadership style rooted in transparency and tangible progress. “Our focus is on development, not distractions,” he affirmed, galvanizing community leaders and supporters to rally around a shared vision of socio-economic advancement.

Key figures, including Farouk, the President’s aide, announced plans to acquire seven acres of land to expand religious infrastructure, reflecting a commitment to nurturing faith-based growth. Junet Mohammed, the minority whip in the National Assembly representing Suna East, lauded the community’s forward-thinking approach, highlighting the importance of strategic alliances beyond electoral cycles.

Abdul Haji, Senator of Garissa, reinforced the message of national cohesion, urging Kenyans to support a government that embodies inclusivity and progress. “Unity is the backbone of Kenya’s future,” he stated, underscoring the community’s support for President Ruto’s second term.

Lurambi MP, Titus Khamala emphasized interfaith harmony, advocating for mutual respect among communities to foster social cohesion. “Neighbors are the real family,” he noted, calling for continued support for inclusive governance.

Junet Mohammed reiterated the importance of recognizing Kenya’s diverse fabric, emphasizing ongoing efforts to ensure Muslim communities’ voices are heard and counted—an effort aligned with the broader national agenda of unity and equitable resource sharing.

Farah Maalim, MP for Dadaab, announced plans to establish a community center valued at no less than KSh 70 million, designed to enhance international engagement and social services, further exemplifying the community’s commitment to holistic development.

As Malava’s Muslim community aligns behind President Ruto’s development blueprint, their efforts exemplify that when faith meets strategy, progress becomes inevitable—a calculated move in Kenya’s broader quest for sustainable

growth.
