Historic Launch of Bunge la Mwananchi Malava

The most anticipated day for the people of Malava finally come to pass following the official launch of Bunge la Mwananchi Malava. The forum was formally opened to all citizens across the constituency and aims to inform and enlighten the community on relevant issues affecting them. The Bunge la Mwananchi was commissioned through prayers led by Isaac Shisambula, who urged members to remain objective and committed to serving the people. During the launch, it was agreed that meetings will be held every Tuesday starting at 3:00 p.m. with discussions lasting for two hours and focusing on burning issues within the constituency.

During the launch, the interim leadership of Bunge la Mwananchi Malava was officially declared as follows:

Soita Imbogo โ€“ President

Thomas Lumbasi โ€“ Vice President

Rollins Adagala โ€“ Commissioner for Strategies

Meshach Were โ€“ Speaker

Moses Ambani โ€“ Coordinator

John Wambutsi โ€“ Secretary General

Together with other leaders representing various wards within the constituency.

Following approval by members, voices from the floor encouraged the coordinators to make the forum rotational so that meetings can be held in every ward across the sub-county.

Among the notable attendees was Madam Wilbroda Shinanda, Vice Chairperson of KUPPET Kakamega Branch. She urged residents to actively use the platform as a space for civic education and information sharing. Shinanda used the forum to thank teachers who believed in her and voted her to represent them.

On arising matters, Speaker Meshack Were stated that in the next meeting, members will be required to confirm the official opposition wing of the Bunge la Mwananchi Malava. The opposition will be led either by Jasusi Musa or Duncan Munyendo allies open minded and a wing to represente the citizensโ€™ voice.

The launch attracted more than 100 residents, who turned out to witness the milestone, expressing optimism that Bunge la Mwananchi Malava will greatly benefit the community.

Speaking during the event, President Soita Imbogo emphasized unity

โ€œDespite our differences, we are brothers and sisters. This is just a platform to air our views. We will not fight because of our political stands; we are here to correct and build each other.โ€
